CTL Announces Winner of the January 2007 Bull Dog Award

Mulberry, FL — CTL Transportation, LLC is pleased to present the first monthly Bull Dog Award of 2007 to Mr. Loyd Harrell, professional tank truck driver of the company’s East St. Louis, Illinois, terminal. The Bull Dog Award, which is presented to acknowledge an employee’s character, integrity, performance or improvement in performance, is the most prestigious honor recognized at CTL.

Loyd, who has been with CTL since December of 1995, is thought of highly by his CTL coworkers. As a CTL veteran, he has a great knowledge and understanding of just about every aspect of the tank truck industry. While he may be considered an industry expert, what makes Loyd special are the “little” things he does each and every day. Very simply, Loyd is responsible: he makes educated decisions and has no problem being held accountable. He is dependable: if you need him, he’s there. He is a professional: he understands that all loads are not equal, but all loads must be delivered. He is also patient: safety is a priority and he is not in a race, but always seems to finish first with his flawless CTL safety record.

“Loyd puts the needs of the company first. Recently he delayed his vacation in order to help with an emergency load,” said John Kays, East St. Louis terminal manager. Kays continued, “You never see Loyd in a shirt that has not been pressed and he is always willing to handle any work we ask him to run without hesitation.” All in all, Loyd personifies what it means to be a professional in the transportation industry. The “little” things that many others take for granted, or simply do not do, truly make Loyd a one-of-a-kind person and professional driver.
