Barr-Nunn Selects New Driver Advisory Council

Granger, IA- February 23, 2007- Barr-Nunn Transportation is a widely acclaimed provider of highest quality transportation and logistics services. Since their inception in 1982, they have been the industry leader in pay packages and have grown to a fleet of nearly 675 tractors, 1,800 trailers and over 500 customers nationwide. Since January 2005, the fleet and managers have had the privilege to nominate a group of drivers known as the Driver Advisory Council. The council consists of six company drivers and four owner operators from within Barr-Nunn that serve a term of four months. Any fleet member is eligible to be a council member after a nomination and selection process done by the fleet themselves along with managers. There have been ten past Driver Advisory Councils at Barr-Nunn and it has proven to be an effective link between drivers and managers.

This program has become an important part of our culture and each council's contribution has played a big part in keeping Barr-Nunn a leader in the industry. The council is asked to represent the fleet with honest and candid feedback on issues concerning pay, benefits, safety and everything in between. This valuable information has helped keep our drivers dedicated and happy. It is this type of dedication from our drivers that make the difference real at Barr-Nunn.
