Paschall Truck Lines Announces November Awards
Paschall Truck Lines (PTL) congratulates the winners of the November 2005 Company Driver and Owner Operator of the Month Awards. Wiley Mitchem is the Company Driver of the Month and Hector Flores is the Owner Operator of the Month.
Mitchem is a veteran driver with 33 years of experience, five of
those with PTL. He was an owner operator for four years before
deciding to sell his truck and sign on as a company driver. He
plans to stay with PTL as long as he can. He would also like to
sell his house in Florida and move back to the Northern US. He had
quite an unusual experience during the time he and his wife drove
as a team. While they were waiting in Missouri to pick up a load of
cheese in an underground cave, a S.W.A.T. team used their truck as
a cover!
Flores has been a PTL driver for just over a year but has been
driving for ten. Before joining PTL he was a dispatcher, driver
personnel supervisor and driver for another company. Flores really
enjoys how drivers extend a hand to someone they don’t even
know. He says he has received help many times and it is only
natural for him to return the favor. He also likes meeting a
variety of people on the road. When at home, Flores goes fishing
and spends time with his family. His plans for the future include
expanding his current fleet.
