Werner drivers hit million mile mark!

OMAHA, NE - (Alman) Werner Enterprises’ owner-operator driver Jerry Alman recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Alman has been with the Company for more than 10 years. He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Take pride in what you do and aim high to be the best.” Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Alman said he prefers I-84 through Oregon where there are good rivers to fish and camp. He has a five-year-old grandson, Christopher, who wants to drive a blue Freightliner like his grandpa.

(Armstrong) Werner Enterprises’ solo driver James Armstrong recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Armstrong has been with the company for more than 25 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Have a positive attitude and be alert at all times.” Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Armstrong says he prefers the Midwest because it is a lot easier than the east or west coast and the loads seem to be plentiful there.

(Bjork) Werner Enterprises’ team driver Daniel Bjork recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Bjork has been with the company for more than11 years. He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Please pay attention to what is going on around you.” Bjork and his wife, Kathy, have two daughters, Andi and Kim, and a son, Benjamin.

(Bennett) Werner Enterprises’ trainer John Bennett recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Bennett has been with the company for more than 15 years. He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Drive as if your family is in the car next to you or in front of you.” During his travels there have been many interesting experiences, but he says that if you look, you can find something interesting or unusual everyday.

(Boyer) Werner Enterprises’ owner-operator driver Larry Boyer recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Boyer has been with the Company for more than 15 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Keep space between you and others, control speed, don’t crowd or tailgate, and give and show respect to ALL other vehicles regardless of size.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Boyer said he prefers the southeast because it’s hot and humid, the southwest because it’s hot and dry, the north and northeast because it makes you appreciate home, but most of all the Midwest!

Boyer has a daughter, Libby, in Jacksonville, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Kim in Columbia, MO; and a daughter and son-in-law, Drs. Kara and Mario who live in Orlando, FL.

(Curnutte) Werner Enterprises’ owner-operator driver Gary Curnutte recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. He has been with the Company for more than 12 years.
Curnutte offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Know your equipment is in good running condition. Give yourself enough time for the distance and allow for weather conditions and traffic.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Curnutte said he prefers the western states because of the openness and the mountains.
Curnutte has two daughters and five grandchildren.

Werner Enterprises’ student trainer Ronald Dencklau recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Dencklau has been with the company for more than 18 years.
He offered the following simple advice to his fellow drivers: “Always be alert.”
Dencklau says he enjoys all parts of his travels because it’s a big and beautiful country.

(Dow) Werner Enterprisesflatbed trainer Kenneth Dow recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Dow has been with the Company for more than 11 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Be aware of what’s going on around you at all times.”

(Fornaro) Werner Enterprises’ solo driver Michael Fornaro recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Fornaro has been with the company for more than 10 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Be aware of what’s going on around you at all times and use common sense.”

(Frith) Werner Enterprises’ solo driver Corey Frith recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Frith has been with the Company for more than 12 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Take your time.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Frith said he prefers the southwest.

(Froats) Werner Enterprises’ owner-operator driver Jerome E. Froats recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Froats has been with the company for more than 12 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Share the road, be courteous, avoid road rage, and watch out for the other guy-he may get you.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Froats said he enjoys Flagstaff, AZ and Moab, UT because they have spectacular scenery, but in the end Northern Michigan wins out.

Werner Enterprises’ owner-operator driver Terry Haake recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Haake has been with the Company for more than 16 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Leave plenty of room between you and the other guy and when in doubt while backing, get out and look no matter how many times it takes.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Haake said he prefers the Midwest because it has more wide-open space and less traffic. He also enjoys the northeast because it is a very pretty part of the country in the fall.
Haake and his wife, Vickie, have three boys, Joe, Andrew, and Eric.

(Ingram) Werner Enterprises’ trainer Robert Ingram recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Ingram has been with the company for more than 14 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Keep your head clear and never over drive.”
During his many travels, Ingram has experienced many different situations, but a horrible ice storm in Lincoln, NE stands out in his mind. He says that no one could stay on the roads, even highway patrolmen were in ditches, but they made it to North Platte safely and called it a night.

(Johnson) Werner Enterprises’ owner-operator driver Dennis Johnson recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Johnson has been with the company for more than 11 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Be patient, be alert to your surroundings and be prepared.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Johnson prefers Montana and Idaho, the views and especially the animals.

(Kukla) Werner Enterprises’ solo driver Marvin Kukla recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Kukla has been with the company for more than 20 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Always expect the unexpected, especially when you are in heavy traffic or bad weather.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Kukla says he prefers central Missouri in the summer because of the pretty scenery and Arizona in the winter because of the mild temperature.
Kukla and his wife, Irene, have a son and daughter, and also a granddaughter, Faith.

(Luigs) Werner Enterprises’ solo driver James Luigs recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Luigs has been with the company for more than nine years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “We are the pros. We are the tortoise, the cars are the rabbits.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Luigs prefers Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah.
He and his wife, Sheri, have a daughter, Betty.

(Major) Werner Enterprises’ team driver Patsy Major recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Major has been with the company for more than nine years.
She offered the following advice to her fellow drivers: “Don’t let one person change your life direction, every trip has a finish line, be professional, be safe, and always expect the unexpected.”
Of all the places she has traveled during her driving career, Major prefers Wyoming. She says the mountains are breathtaking and it lifts her spirits.

(Honeycutt) Werner Enterprises’ trainer Michael Honeycutt recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Honeycutt has been with the Company for more than 10 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Be vigilant, obey all traffic laws, drive defensive, and be courteous to all other drivers on the road.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Honeycutt said he prefers Montana and the northwest. He enjoys the beautiful mountains, lakes, streams, wildlife, and golf courses.

(Miller) Werner Enterprises’ solo driver Johnny Miller recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Miller has been with the company for more than 17 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Be careful and watch what you do.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Miller prefers the west coast and the northwest because of the openness and beauty.

(Moulton) Werner Enterprises’ solo driver Dana Moulton recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Moulton has been with the Company for more than 10 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Stay alert and rested, pull over to answer phone calls, and use directional signals as a courtesy to others. Do not linger around trucks and pass quickly.”
During his travels, Moulton has had many different experiences. He once had to take air shafts to the top of a mountain in Montana for a mine operation. Imagine taking a 70 ft. rig up a winding dirt road to the top of a 10,000 ft. mountain!
Moulton has two daughters, Jackie and Jessie.

(Petty) Werner Enterprises’ solo driver Cliff Petty recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Petty has been with the Company for more than 15 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Be alert to your surroundings, check mirrors often, and look ahead-way ahead.”

Werner Enterprises’ owner-operator driver Willard Pulley recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Pulley has been with the Company for more than 10 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “See the big picture, keep enough space, and always be willing to learn.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Pulley said he prefers the South, California to Georgia.
He and his wife, Deborah, have two sons, Chris and Robert.

(Riley) Werner Enterprises’ solo driver Gerald Riley recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Riley has been with the company for more than 9 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Watch what’s going on around you, never assume anything, have a positive attitude, and believe in yourself.”
Riley has three sons: Andrew, Sean, and Steven.

(Stone) Werner Enterprises’ solo driver Joshua Stone recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Stone has been with the company for more than 13 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Never drive tired! A half hour’s rest can do wonders for fatigue.”
During his many travels, Stone has experienced many different situations and says that you never want to get lost in Montreal unless you or your truck can speak French.

(Strain) Werner Enterprises’ owner-operator driver Paul Strain recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Strain has been with the company for more than 10 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Always be rested and always stay focused.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Strain says he prefers the western United States because of the wide-open spaces and natural beauty.
Strain and his wife, Patricia, have a daughter, Michelle, and a son, Shawn.

(Swanson) Werner Enterprises’ solo driver Bradley Swanson recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Swanson has been with the company for more than 10 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Check the equipment and make sure the windows and mirrors are clear at all times. Secure all items in the truck and get plenty of rest.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Swanson says he prefers Montana because of the trees, lakes, fishing, and hunting.
Swanson and his wife, Melanie, have one son, three daughters, and two granddaughters.

(Truck) Werner Enterprises’ solo driver Diesel Truck recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Truck has been with the Company for more than 16 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Try to keep away from the crowded traffic and never speed in fog, snow, ice or rain.”

(Wagner) Werner Enterprises’ trainer Richard Wagner recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Wagner has been with the company for more than 10 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Study the traffic all around you and as far ahead as possible.”
Of all the places he has traveled during his driving career, Wagner says he prefers western Colorado and Utah along I-70 for the variety of scenery.

(Weinzetl) Werner Enterprises’ team driver Keith Weinzetl recently achieved one million accident-free miles driving for the company. Weinzetl has been with the company for more than 10 years.
He offered the following advice to his fellow drivers: “Always think the other driver is not aware of you.”
Weinzetl says he owes his million miles accident free to his family because it takes a special family to support a “trucker’s life.”
He and his wife, Judie, who teamed with him for 10 years, have three sons.
