Maverick Transportation, Inc. Announces 2003 Driver of the Year
Maverick Transportation announced Frank Korpos, of Weirton, WV, as the 2003 Driver of the Year on Friday, January 30 th , 2004.
“I couldn't believe it,” said Korpos. “This is such an honor. I was speechless.” Korpos later added, “When I got the award, I thanked Maverick for giving me a chance and this will be my way to give back - by representing them well as their Driver of the Year.”
One of twelve Drivers of the Month for 2003, Korpos has proven himself as a leader in the company's fleet. Combining safe driving, a positive attitude, and genuine driver professionalism, this honor was very well deserved. In Korpos' six plus years with Maverick, he has received a safety award for each year of service. He contributes his longevity and success with Maverick to his excellent home time and how the company makes him feel like part of big family. In addition to his 2003 nomination, Korpos was also a Driver of the Month in 1999.
Every month Maverick recognizes a driver from the company's fleet who takes pride in his profession and the company, employs safety, and maintains Maverick standards in all they do. All Maverick employees vote from the twelve Drivers of the Month and selected Korpos as the 2003 winner.
