Barr-Nunn Driver Reaches 2.5 Million Safe Miles
Granger, IA – December 29, 2008 – Barr-Nunn Transportation announced today driver Keith Badtram reached a safety milestone of 2.5 million miles.

TULSA, Okla – August 27, 2008 - Melton Truck Lines, a premier air-ride flatbed carrier based in Tulsa, OK, donated their services to bring the 1939 Douglas DC-3 passenger plane known as “Flagship Tulsa” home to Tulsa. The plane was part of American Airline’s fleet until 1949. The Tulsa Air and Space Museum plans to restore the plane to its original glory. USA TRUCK ANNOUNCES 3RD QUARTER EARNINGS INCREASE
VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS (October 22, 2008) - Truck, Inc. (NASDAQ:USAK) announced today a base revenue of $103.7 million for the three months ended September 30, 2008, an increase of 4.4% from the same quarter of 2007. Net income increased from $16 thousand for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 to $2.4 million for the same quarter of 2008. Diluted earnings per share increased to $0.23, net of a one-time adjustment of $0.02 per share for a non-operating asset impairment charge, for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 from $0.00 for the same quarter of 2007. ..more news

ACT Wins EPA SmartWay Award

Marten Transport Raises Settlement Rates
Marten Transport, which has charted outstanding growth this year, has announced another advantage for owner operators - even higher settlement rates. Starting Nov. 1, 2008, Marten will raise settlement rates by two cents per mile across the board to its already excellent graduated scale.

Barr-Nunn Raises Pay for Company Team Drivers
Granger, IA - September 2, 2008 - Barr-Nunn Transportation, a leader in the industry, is proud to announce yet another outstanding recognition of the hard work its drivers put forth.
Barr-Nunn is raising the cap for Company Team drivers from 46 cents per practical mile to 47 cents per practical mile. In addition Company Team drivers will now earn Guaranteed Appreciation Bonuses of $7400 or $9800 for every 240,000 paid miles. This bonus pays $925 or $1225 each driver every 60,000 paid miles driven. This bonus money is above and beyond all other pay earned and there are no safety qualifiers associated...more news
