Hornady Transportation Announces A New Independent Contractor Compensation Program

Monroeville, Ala. –– Hornady Transportation announces a new Independent Contractor Compensation Program. The current program pays 70% of the gross revenue and 100% of their fuel surcharge to their Independent Contractors. Independent Contractors will have the opportunity to be paid an additional 4% on their weekly adjusted revenues produced after Jan. 1, 2006 (excluding all fuel surcharges and accessorial charges.) This incentive program does not affect the 70% compensation documented in the original contract. Any week an Independent Contractor produces revenues of $2,400 or more, excluding fuel surcharges and accessorial charges, they will receive 74% of the revenues produced that week. This 4% incentive will be paid weekly and appear as a separate line item on the settlement statement when a driver’s weekly adjusted revenue is $2,400 or more.

Hornady’s top Contractor, while still maintaining excellent home time, earned over $131,000 for 2005 without this incentive plan. Independent Contractors will now have the ability to put another $5,000+ in their pockets each year.
