Lancaster, Texas - Professional truck driver James Rogers received recognition last month for driving seven years without an accident. Mr. Rogers is an independent trucker from Dallas, Texas and operates under lease with Dart Transit Company, Dallas Operating Center in Lancaster, Texas. Director of Safety, Elaine Briles presented Mr. Rogers with Dart's Hall of Fame Award for 7 accident-free years with the company. "James professional driving is an important part of Dart's safe and courteous service," Briles said. "We are proud that he represents us so well to the motoring public."
As a
professional truck driver, Mr. Rogers participates in Dart's award
winning professional driver development program, which includes a
yearly driver improvement course, safety advisors, driver
performance analysis, and professional recognition. Dart has one of
the best safety records in the nation. Genesis Underwriting
Management Company, an insurance underwriter, recognized Dart for
having an extraordinarily low accident loss ratio in 1993, 1994,
and 1995. According to the
Truckload Carriers Association, Dart had the lowest accident
ratio in 1996 among truckload carriers producing over 50 million
miles a year. Dart operates in all 48 lower states as a truckload
carrier specializing in lightweight freight.
