Barr-Nunn Delivers Toys For Tots

“All that it took was one phone call to the owner Mr. Sturgeon, who is a prior Marine himself,” explained Barr-Nunn driver, Warren Travers. “I was able to get one of our USMC wrapped trailers to pick up all the toys from around town and deliver them.”

Warren has been a Barr-Nunn company driver over 4 years and is well known as Santa Claus among the Barr-Nunn family. He has worked diligently with the South Bend Marine Crops Reserve Center and their Toys For Tots campaign for many years. However, this past Christmas was very special because Warren was able to collect and deliver over 27,000 toys in a 53 foot Barr-Nunn trailer. “One of the best things of the day was the police escort through downtown South Bend where everyone was cheering us on,” Warren said.
