Don’t Miss The Arnold transportation Ultimate Road Trip II Tour Trailer At The 2005 Mid America Trucking Show
Professional owner operators are coveted in today’s hard-pressed world of driver recruiting. Many have been in the business a long time and know what it takes to stay afloat, but there are hundreds who are struggling to survive as business owners. Arnold transportation and their sponsors devised a way to face this issue head on. The 2004 Ultimate Road Trip was designed to help educate independent contractors on ways to effectively manage their own business, market themselves more professionally and educate company drivers who are toying with the idea of leasing or buying a truck of their own.
Although the first official Road Trip ended in October of 2004, Arnold once again sees the need for owner operators to be educated on the steps they can take to have a successful career. Owner operators are encouraged to visit the Mid America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky on March 31 through April 2, 2005. The Ultimate Road Trip II trailer will be located at booth #6941 in the West wing. Anyone interested is invited to stop by at anytime to hear educational seminars where the following topics will be discussed: managing money, developing a business plan, finding a good tax service, buying or financing equipment, maintaining equipment, choosing the right company based on wants and needs, properly reviewing a lease, medical insurance, saving money, planning for retirement and dressing for success. Those attending will receive the program on DVD, a workbook, and the Ultimate Road Trip II T-shirt.
“Our tour in 2004 was very successful, but I think there will always be a need to help owner operators reach a greater level of success. And that’s where we come in,” said Dick Follis, Director of Fleet Development. “This has been a great opportunity to attract more drivers to the industry, especially company drivers who are thinking about becoming an independent contractor.”
