U.S. Xpress Wins For-Hire Fleet of the Year Award

Xpress Enterprises, Inc. recently earned the
distinction of being named Fleet Owner Magazine’s For-Hire
Fleet of the Year in 2004. The award was announced in the December
issue of FleetOwner.
“The award from Fleet Owner is a tribute everyone’s
hard work both on the road and to those who people inside who are
supporting the efforts of our drivers and contractors,” said
Co-Chairman Max Fuller.
In a letter sent to U.S. Xpress announcing the award, Jim Mele,
editor-in-chief of FleetOwner magazine, made the following
observations about the Company: “Our intention in
establishing this award program was to give public recognition to
an organization we believe demonstrates a truly innovative approach
to truck fleet management. Having spoken to both your peers and
impartial industry observers as part of our search for good award
candidates, we can say without reservation that Fleet Owner’s
editors cannot think of an organization that is more deserving of
this recognition.”
