Performing a Manual Search

JOBbot vs. Manual Searching

Using JOBbot sends your application out to sometimes hundreds of companies, ensuring that you get calls. However, for some, the idea of hundreds of companies having their information is staggering and discomforting. For those that are more specific minded, we offer the manual job search database.

Like JOBbot, the job search database sorts and filters through certain fields of information. However, the search itself is much less specific. When performing a search, you are allowed to indicate what position you wish to apply for, what trailer you wish to pull, what state you are applying from, how much OTR experience you have, whether a felony conviction is a part of your background, and even how many miles you wish a company terminal to be to your home. However, JOBbot sorts through seven more filters than the manual search provides.

All this means is that the results you receive from your search are not as personalized as the results you get for JOBbot. You may even get results in the search for certain companies for which you do not qualify. Not to worry, however, even if you select a company that you do not qualify for, JOBbot steps in and lets you know that your application cannot be sent to that company.

Performing a Manual Truck Driving Job Search

To begin a manual search, you must have an application on file, and must be logged in with your username and password you chose when you created your application. From the homepage, click on "find driving jobs". Fill in the indicated fields with your particular preferences then click "search jobs". To search by a company name, simply scroll to the bottom of the page where it says "search trucking jobs by company name" and fill in with the appropriate name.

After clicking "search jobs" a results page will appear with different company's names highlighted in blue. You can click on a company name to access their profile and read more about them. From each company's profile page you can select either "add to cart", or "apply now". IMPORTANT - you cannot "apply now" to a company before you add them to your cart! The "apply now" button is for jobs you have saved to your cart already.

Once you have added a company to your cart, you may then close our your cart window and continue searching through your search results. Picture yourself grocery shopping. You don't get a box of cereal, go check out, and then go back to buy the milk. The "add to cart" feature works the same way, allowing you to shop for many different jobs and "apply now" only once. You can save as many jobs as you like to your cart and either apply to them immediately, or log-off and come back anytime to review your selections.

When you hit the "apply now" button a new window appears confirming that your application has either been sent, or not been sent to the following list of companies. If an application could not be sent, it means that there is some information you provided in your application that disqualifies you from that company. Under each disqualified company is a reason why your application could not be sent.

Once you read your confirmation page, you're all done! You can check your application history at any time to review your selections.
