?? Okay, after writing down everything the recruiter had told me, and I may say that I think she was trying to be honest but JB changes things daily. I decide to lease a truck, first few weeks where great but they always are at any new company. Ran legal getting, switched to a FM that was considered new. lets see if i can remember what they said and did
1. After stooping at several truck stops (they was all full) I had to stop at the 3rd no matter what because my hours where up. The parking lot was full and I basically circled the parking lot waiting for somebody to leave. when I arrived I was 30 minutes before my 11 hours was up. by the time I got into a spot i was over 11 hours (keep in mind i never left the parking lot) I was over by 15-20 minutes. They gave me a log violation and after having it reviewed several times they would not remove it.
2. was in a parking lot sleeping when a refer pulled up next to me. This #### thing was so Laud, it was even throwing a few sparks out the exhaust (defiantly had problems). I moved my truck across the parking lot to another parking spot so I could get some sleep. JB gave me a log violation. could not beat it and it stayed. (keep in mind you get 5 of these violation in a certain time (think 6 months) they fire you.
3. Pulled into a TA fueled up and went into the TA to get a drink. Fuel failed as 90% of the time it will at JB. well in orientation they pass out a fuel at the pump/ don't have to go in flyer. When it fails TA or whoever calls JB and get an auth. well this specif time JB told TA to go out and get me (cause I was still there) and if I left to "CALL THE COPS".?????
after 1.5hrs of sitting there and trying to get back in touch with fuel department we finally got it authorized and I asked what was the deal about JB telling the TA to call the cops. "they stated that is standard policy" then I said what is the deal with the fuel and go and the paper they say "no need to go inside"? they didn't say much after that. Again changing policy when they want. Anyways after this big ordeal I was late to my ointment that was just down the road. JB counted that as an incident against me even though it was their fault I was late do to them holding me at the fuel pump with the threat of cops being called on me if I left.
4. Uncounted number of short loads less then 350 and then having to sit 22 hours before getting a dispatch for another. Many weeks with 1700-2100 miles total. they usually don't let u sit more then 22 hours so they don't have to pay for layover but will get you a 200 mile run then make you sit 22 hours right after that 200 mile run even though you just sat 22 hours. (oh by the way the entire time I was with this company I turned down "1" load, so you can not say this may have been an issue)
5. Rude FM's
6. Always gave me a question to my question and never could give me a direct answer.
7. So many ignorant messages being sent over the qualcom at all times of the day that had nothing to do with the load i was on. Example: you be driving down the road and you will get a beep you have no ideal if you need to pull over and read it cause it may be something that pertains to your load. You will get a minimum of 5-6 beeps a day (sometimes more) that has nothing to do with you load. Not to mention if you are trying to sleep and that #### thing keeps beeping. they do not call you on the cell phone to in order to give you important info so you never know if that beep is important or not.
8. They damaged over $350 in chrome during a PM, chrome was all acceptable upgrade you could do to the truck under their lease policy. They would not replace. (every piece had been removed with channel locks and very badly scratched and dented by doing so.
9. I never had been pulled behind the scale so many times with any other company. The time I was with JB hunt I was pulled behind the scale a min of 13 times in the year I worked for them. Never did they inspect my tractor but always inspected the trailer fairly well. never did I get any log violation with any inspection or any personal related type infractions.
although a few times they did find a few things wrong with the trls. nothing serious, something such as tires look a little shinny or perhaps a lite out on the top (items I could not reach in order to change). I always made such notes on log for pre inspections that DOT seemed pleased with. (learned that trick from the very first time I pulled behind the scale)

10. HAD A SMALL AGUMENT WITH FM AND HER BOSS THAT RESULTED IN MY DECISION TO LEAVE JB, without going into great detail in what happened here, simply I decided to leave "told them I am quiting", drove to Indy (my house) from SC cleaned the truck out. Brandon (the LP manager) called my house. He asked me what I was doing, again told him I was quiting, cleaning the truck out and going to take the truck back to louisville term. It wasn't more then 30 minutes after our conversation he had a repo wrecker at my house. Even though I was not late on my payments or anything.

JB THEN PUT ON MY DAC THAT I HAD A UNSATIFACTORY SAFTY RECORED
this was entirely out of retaliation due to the argument that we had had.
I had Dac do a rebuttal where JB had to remove it from my dac. The point here was they still tried to unlawfully keep me from gaining employment under false accusation, in having a unsafe safety record. Serious stuff and JB will eventually get in trouble in doing such things.

11. countless other issues with this company and still today they keep calling me to come back. NEVER NEVER NEVER will I go back to this company. I live 100% out on the road, no car nothing. the only real expense I had was cell phone bill and It was still very hard to make any money with this company.

I guess a lease program is out of the question... right?
