I am born and raised in Maine. Been driving in this weather for around 5 yrs. with no accadents. So hope this helps someone.
On snow and ice the JB can make you go into a skid. I tap my brakes and go slow in slippery weather.
Also if roads are very bad run with your axels locked in. It never fails, you come up on a hill and a slow 4-wheeler will get ya stuck in middle of hill. To get up hills just go slow and easy don't hammer it and you should make most hills np. If you do start spinning just keep it steady and you will make it over the hill.(most times)
Another thing, When turning off a road or making a sharp turn SLOW DOWN. Go very slow becouse you turn your wheels and just keep going striaght fi you are going to fast. If truck is not turning push clutch in and front wheels should start to turn you. The slower you go the better chance you make the turn.
Injoy the fun and if ya get to stressed pull over and wait it out.
