Welcome Bigray! :)
I do not have any personal experience with CRST, but if you search on this board you will see that they get mostly negative reactions from the people that write about them.

Does this mean they are any worse than any other company? Again I can't say since I have no personal experience with them, but if you notice that on this board (and others) you will see that 99.9% of comments about any company is negative, and there is a reason for it. :?
This board and all others are really just a place for drivers to vent their frustrations on. It is very rare for someone with a good job (or a job they enjoy) to seek out a place to praise their employer - unless they are making something from it. But screw a worker (which unfortunately 99.9% of companies do), and that worker will badmouth your company to everyone in every place they can.
The thing to remember is that NO ONE tells the whole truth. Everyone sees what happens through their own eyes. The driver sees things one way, while the company will see it another.
Any job can be a good job or a bad job - what makes a job great to you may make it horrible to me. :P
The way the trucking industry is going though, trucking is very soon going to be a bad job. :(
All you can do is look for the companies with the least amount of complaints (every company has complaints), or complaints that don't seem too bad to you, and talk to the recruiter.
Remember though that a recruiter is paid to make the company sound great to get you to orientation. Get every promise in writing. If they won't give you their promises in writing that should answer some of your questions right there! :)
Oh yeah, if you want to have some fun, when the recruiter tells you that your hometime is "guaranteed", ask them what that guarantee is. What happens if they don't get you home on time?
The stuttering is hysterical!

Good Luck! 8)

If you are a new driver just starting, then any of the training companies, like CRST, is a good way to start. The pay is low, but you will develop good skills. Just remember that after you get some experince, you can then look to better paying companies. One thing the training compabies do better that most other companies is provide an excellent benefits package. I would put Schneiders up against anyones.

IMHO
There are times when I want hoist the black flag, spit on my hands, and start slitting throats. It's time to start the slitting, who should be my 1st victim?
