Ghetto attitudes

Postby roadsonata on Sun Jan 22, 2006 8:22 pm

It was hard to decide whether to post this here or on the forum where a trucker was talking about his problem with his company not paying his fine, claiming they would/did and then he got pulled over. 100% he was at fault for getting the over weight ticket in the first place but he had a legit complaint about the company's failure to do what its' own policies said it would and he had way too many times (from his telling of the story) tried to get it resolved, then got a license suspension because it all. Hey, guys, WE are all the 'little guys' companies know they can play divide and conquer with. You can bitch and moan about pay, hours, sealed loads, regulations, how much you gotta put up with, on and on and on but until you're willing to stand together you're p'in into the wind. O/Os and company drivers alike, it's a ghetto attitude that everyone around you is who you haveto work 'up' from...and being offended somebody called your kid a "trucker's kid???" Doggone right s/he is! And most dispatch and recruiters are in it with the truckers.

Separate the issues. If you've got two good legs, don't crawl and don't turn on your own.

First of all if you were not talking about my post about someone calling my son a truckers kid I will apolozie. If you were then Back up a minute. It was the way he was refered to being a truckers kid in a very derogitory sense. And yes I will stand up and defend my kid or anyone elses who is refered to like that. As far as Ghetto Attitude I don't think so. It is more of a momma thing. If you would like to discuss this further pm me and we'll chat. if not hush.

Thank-You and Have a Wonderful Day

The first one, Roadsonata may be right, its just hard to work with the guys runnin bogus logs and dumb enouf to gripe about it but then if it comes to doin anything all they can say is "well everybody does it, theres nothin you can do." And thats what the companys count on. Im looking here cause I suspect Im about to get writ up for being uncooprative cause I won't change the log. So are there companys that really won't expect that so I can change before I get negative things on my report? Aint nobody gonna stand up for me.
