I recieved a call from one of the recruiters from JB Hunt and was told that the company was very interested in me. I will be graduating from Western Dakota Technical in Rapid City, SD on Dec 16th. I will have my Class A at this time.

Now the problem was that I would need 6 weeks training OTR. I'm going to assume that JB Hunt does not do their own training by this.

Do you or can you tell me where I can get this training? I'm ready to leave day after Christmas or day after I graduate, which ever would be needed.

Can you answer this for me?

Holler at Sheepdancer he is a recruiter for JB. Seems to me for awhile you had to have 3 months exp. to get on there. Every once in awhile it seems that they will train you, but he could tell you better.

In the 2 years Ive been working at JB, I have never seen an opening in SD for drivers. You say a recruiter contacted you in SD? Maybe someone knows about a future opening that I dont know about. I will look into that. Its just not one of our areas we hire out of. Is that where you live? Ever think of relocating?
Anyway, we dont hire people straight out of school. East of I-35 we do use trainers but you would need at least 6 weeks exp with another company to go with a trainer with us. We do hire on the west coast (Ca, Or, Nv, Wa) but you would need 3 months exp to work those jobs. At one time i did have a local job open up in Boise. You would need 6 months exp for that job and some flatbed exp.
